Player Safety First

Responsible
Gambling at v2world

At v2world, we believe gambling should always be a form of entertainment — never a source of stress, financial strain, or harm. Our responsible gambling programme is built into the platform from the ground up, not added as an afterthought. This page explains the tools available to you, the warning signs to watch for, and the support resources you can reach out to if things feel out of control.

Gaming ThatStays in Control

v2world serves over 850,000 registered players across Malaysia — from Kuala Lumpur and Petaling Jaya to Penang and Johor Bahru. With a player base that large, the responsibility to promote healthy gambling habits isn't optional. It's fundamental to how we operate.

Problem gambling affects small but meaningful proportion of players in any gaming environment. The signs can build gradually — what starts as a casual session watching the EPL can shift into patterns that feel harder to step away from. Our responsible gambling tools exist to give you the means to stay in control before that happens, not after.

Every single responsible gambling tool described on this page is available to all v2world players at no cost, with no penalties, and with no negative impact on your account standing. Requesting a deposit limit or a self-exclusion is treated with complete confidentiality by our team.

Important Reminder: Gambling is designed to be entertaining. The house always has a mathematical edge over time — no betting system or strategy can overcome this in the long run. Never gamble with money you cannot afford to lose, and never chase losses by increasing your bet size or extending your session.

21+ Strictly Enforced: v2world applies a mandatory minimum age of 21 years for all registered accounts. Every account is subject to KYC age verification before withdrawal processing. If you suspect a minor is using an account on this platform, please contact us immediately at [email protected].

If gambling has stopped being enjoyable and started feeling like something youhave to do, that is a sign worth paying attention to. Reach out to our support team or use the self-exclusion tool in your account settings right now — no questions asked.

Responsible Gambling Tools

All six tools below are available inside every v2world account. They are free, immediate, and confidential.

Deposit Limits

Set a maximum deposit cap on a daily, weekly, or monthly basis. Once a limit is active, it takes effect immediately and cannot be increased for7 days — giving you a genuine cooling-off window, not just a checkbox. Decreasing a limit takes effect right away.

Session Time Controls

Set a maximum session duration after which you are automatically logged out. This is especially useful for late-night gaming sessions. You can set reality check reminders at intervals of 30, 60, or 90 minutes to keep you aware of how long you have been playing.

Self-Exclusion

Request a voluntary temporary or permanent block on your v2world account. Options range from 1 week to 6 months for temporary exclusion, or permanent closure. Exclusion requests are processed within 24 hours. During exclusion, you will not receive any promotional communications from v2world.

Loss Limits

In addition to deposit limits, you can set a maximum net loss amount over any defined period. Once your net loss reaches the limit, all further bets are declined for that period. This prevents a bad run from escalating into a session you will regret the next morning.

Reality Checks

Enable periodic on-screen notifications that display your current session duration, total bets placed, and net win/loss position. Reality checks are proven to help players maintain awareness of their activity and make more deliberate decisions about when to stop.

Cooling-Off Period

If you feel you need a short break without committing to a full self-exclusion, a cooling-off period lets you pause all gaming activity for a defined number of days — from 24 hours up to 30 days. Your account remains open but no wagers can be placed during this window.

Warning Signs ofProblem Gambling

Problem gambling rarely announces itself dramatically. It typically develops gradually through changes in behaviour that are easy to rationalise in the moment. The following warning signs are worth taking seriously — not as a judgment, but as useful information.

If you recognise three or more of these patterns in your own behaviour, we strongly encourage you to use the self-exclusion tool in your account or speak with one of the support organisations listed further down this page. Early action is always easier than late action.

Recognising a problem and asking for help is a sign of strength. Many thousands of Malaysians have successfully addressed gambling problems with the right support. You do not have to manage this alone.

Gambling with money earmarked for essential expenses — using rent, utilities, groceries, or loan repayment funds for betting, even temporarily, with the intention of "replacing it with winings."

Chasing losses persistently — continuing to gamble or increasing bet sizes specifically to recover money lost in a previous session, rather than for entertainment.

Lying or hiding gambling activity — concealing bet amounts, session durations, or losses from family members, partners, or friends because you anticipate their concern or disapproval.

Being unable to stop during a session — finding that you regularly play much longer than you planned to, even after telling yourself "just one more."

Gambling affecting your work or daily responsibilities — missing deadlines, being late to work, neglecting household tasks, or withdrawing from social commitments because of gambling activity.

Borrowing money to gamble — taking personal loans, using credit card advances, or borrowing from family and friends with the intention of using the funds for betting.

Gambling as a coping mechanism — turning to gambling to escape stress, anxiety, loneliness, boredom, or other difficult emotions, rather than as a form of entertainment.

Feeling restless or irritable when not gambling — experiencing mood changes or discomfort specifically when unable to access a betting platform, even for short periods.

Setting Up Your Limits

All responsible gambling controls are accessible directly from your v2world account settings. Here is how to activate each one.

01
Log In to Your Account

Access the v2world platform and log in with your registered username and password. Navigate to "Account Settings" from the user menu in the top-right corner of the screen.

02
Open Responsible Gaming

Select the "Responsible Gaming" tab within your account settings. All available tools — deposit limits, loss limits, session controls, cooling-off, and self-exclusion — are listed here in one place.

03
Set Your Limits

Choose the relevant tool and input your desired limit or duration. Deposit and loss limits take effect immediately. Increases to existing limits require a 7-day waiting period before activation to prevent impulsive changes.

04
Need Help? Contact Support

If you prefer to set limits or request a self-exclusion through our team, live chat support is available 24/7. All requests are treated with full confidentiality and have no negative effect on your account history.

A BriefSelf-Assessment

The following questions are adapted from commonly used responsible gambling self-assessment frameworks. They are provided purely as a self-reflection tool — there is no right or wrong answer, and your responses are entirely private.

If you answer "yes" to several of these questions, we encourage you to consider using one of the tools on this page or contacting a support service. Take your time thinking through each one honestly.

These questions are for your personal reflection only. v2world does not track your responses to this self-assessment. There is no submission — this is a thinking tool, not a test.

Q1

Have you ever spent more money gambling than you intended to in a single session?

Q2

Have you ever borrowed money or sold personal possessions to fund gambling activity?

Supporting Families and Friends

Problem gambling affects not just the individual player but also the people around them. Partners, parents, and close friends often notice the warning signs before the person involved acknowledges them. If you are worried about someone close to you, the following approaches may help:

  • Choose a calm, private moment to raise your concern — not during or immediately after a gambling episode when emotions are high.
  • Focus on specific behaviours you have observed rather than making general judgments about character or decision-making.
  • Be prepared for denial or defensiveness as an initial reaction. This is common and does not mean the conversation wasted.
  • Seek support for yourself through organisations like Gam-Anon, which supports families of people with gambling problems — you deserve support too.
  • If the person is in financial crisis, contact Talian Kasih 15999 for guidance on available welfare assistance and referal pathways.

You can also contact v2world directly if you have evidence or strong suspicion that someone is using a v2world account in a way that is causing harm. Our team can review the account and take appropriate action in accordance with our responsible gambling obligations.

Entertainment First, Always onv2world

v2world is built for Malaysian players who enjoy gaming responsibly. Our tools are here when you need them — and our support team is always a message away. Play for fun, set your limits, and know when to take a break.
